Certified Translations and MEA/Embassy Attestations for countries of the Middle East

The Middle East is a transcontinental region that includes the countries of Western Asia, North Africa and Southeast Europe, making it the crossroads of the world. Some of the major economies of the world emerging from this province comprise of Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and United Arab Emirates; that together make it one of the world’s most linguistically diverse region with more than 60 languages spoken all over. However, the eight most commonly spoken languages of the region include Arabic, Persian or Farsi, Hebrew, Berber, Kurdish, Turkish, French and English. Arabic being the 5th most spoken language in the world, after Chinese, Spanish, English and Hindi, is the official language of 20 countries and is spoken by 300 million people worldwide.

Three of the seven wonders of the world emerge from parts of the Middle East: the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. World’s tallest and the second tallest buildings, the Burj Khalifa (2,717 feet tall) in Dubai, and the Royal Clock Tower Hotel (1,972 feet tall) in Mecca belong to this region. Ancient and contemporary infrastructure together contribute in making the Middle East, one of the most culturally and scientifically progressive region offering numerous opportunities to students, job-seekers and businesses of growth and prosperity.

   Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are different from country to country but not as challenging as in the West. Some countries however are authoritarian with their rules that may include alcohol ban, restrictions on electronic devices and even clothing manner of women.
Visa Requirements

Most countries provide Visas on entry except for Oman and Saudi Arabia, where it is best to hold a Visa before arrival. Israel no longer adds its stamp on tourist passports instead it provides a small loose-leaf entry card as an Israeli stamp on your passport would mean that your entry to the countries of Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria will be restricted. However, Jordan and Egypt pose no entry restrictions on passport holders with Israeli stamp due to their peaceful treaties with the nation. It is therefore advisable to do good research before planning your trip to any country of this region and know all Visa requirements beforehand to avoid any end moment chaos.

Travel Guidelines post COVID'19 breakdown

In this time of Covid’19 pandemic when the world’s major economies are collapsing, both financially and scientifically, travel and tourism has become the most vulnerable sector. Work and wages have dried up most drastically in this industry as the emergency responses to the international crisis had included cancellation/postponement of both domestic and international travel for all purposes including education, work, tourism and business.

However now with the dramatic downfall of the diseases impact and succeeding results of the vaccines against this deadly virus, life has started getting back to normal. Governments of all nations are minimizing boundary barriers at their own speed, leading to gradual comeback of the industry in its substantial form. Domestic transport including taxies, buses, railways and even flights have already started carrying passengers from one city to another while taking precautionary measures and now that mostly all existing visa forms have been restored excluding electronic, tourist and medical ones, international flights have begun for essential purposes including education, business, employment and research purposes.

India has already made air bubble arrangements with about 18 countries namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Oman, Canada, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Maldives, Nigeria, Qatar, The UAE, Kenya, Ukraine, Bhutan, The UK and The USA meaning the passengers travelling to and from India can fly back-and-forth in any of these countries for reasons including education, business, employment and research while following the rules and regulations as bilaterally set by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India and the concerned health authority of the other country involved, including:

  • All international travellers will have to present self-declaration forms online, stating their physical soundness and no interaction guarantee with patients affected by Covid’19 virus at least 14 days prior to the scheduled travel.
  • Travellers will also be required to upload their RT-PCR report of Covid’19 along with declaration of its authenticity on the online portal of New Delhi’s Indra Gandhi International Airport.
  • The test reports will only be accepted if it is conducted within a period of 72 hours from the flight.
  • Only passengers carrying no symptoms to the virus will be allowed to board the flight post thermal screening.
  • Arrival in India without having a negative report shall be allowed only under urgent circumstances of death in the family. To avail this exemption, one must fill an online form at least 72 hours before the scheduled flight.
  • Passengers arriving from/transiting through the UK, Europe, Middle East, Brazil and Africa will have to go through a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine in the home country, will be segregated in flights by the respective airline and will have to go through a mandatory self-paid confirmatory molecular test on arrival.

All these rules apply to passengers travelling by air/sea and land ports. However, passengers travelling by sea and land ports are not granted the means to fill self-declaration forms online. Suitable precautionary measures including wearing masks throughout the journey and keeping the environment sanitized are mandatory for all, irrespective of the means of transport.

Apostille/MEA Attestation Services

If you’re looking to transpose abroad for educational, employment, business, marriage or simply migration purposes, this article will guide you through a great amount of essential knowledge about the authorization of your personal, professional and legal documents. Some documents like Birth Certificates, Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), Marksheets/ Diploma Certificates, Marriage certificates etc. are required to be verified for authentication by the authorized organization of the home country before being lawfully accepted by a foreign country. The process of verifying and approving the required documents by the organization of a particular country is called Apostillation of documents.

Apostille or Hague Apostille is an international attestation that was drafted by the Hague Conference on 5th October, 1961, Netherlands which is approved and accepted by 92 countries of the world today. Some of these nations are world’s most developed ones including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mauritius, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, UK etc.

Under this treaty, a document certified by one member country is acknowledged for legal, educational and professional purposes in other member countries, without any further attestation requirements. India being a part of the Hague Convention, provides and approves Apostilled documents. Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, India is the legalized authority that provides Apostille Stamps for the following documents to be used in other associated countries of the Hague Convention:

      Birth/Death Certificate

      Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)

      Marriage Certificate

      Divorce Decrees

      Diploma/Degree Certificate

      Affidavits

      Contracts/Agreements

      Court/Legal Documents

      Single Status Certificate

      Powers of Attorney

      Company Incorporation Papers

      Patent Applications

      School Transcripts

      Adoption Papers

Before getting Apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs, India, a document is required to be notarized(verified) and signed by an authentic lawyer after which it is mandatory to get a State Level Attestation. Without these procedures, the document will not be endorsed for Apostille. Depending on the type of document and its authenticity, Apostille Stamp can be provided for either original document or copy of the same for it to be acknowledged by the embassy of the welcoming country. Even countries that are not a part of the Hague Convention, demand documents to be Apostilled as an Apostille Stamp on a document means that it has been verified by the legitimate authority of the residing country of the document holder. However, non-participant countries also require further legalization of the Apostilled documents from their respective state embassies to verify the genuineness of those documents.

We at Advika Translations provide genuine Apostille/MEA Attestation and allied services all under one roof and at competitive rates in all cities of India including Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala and Karnataka to mention a few. Our services are 100% authentic and accepted by all the member and non-member countries of the Hague Convention. Our team of highly professional experts have been working eminently in delivering satisfactory and speedy services to all our customers since 2001 now and ensuring their confidentiality has been our utmost priority ever since.
