Flights between New Delhi and
Moscow have already started operating twice a week, carrying citizens of all
visa categories including student, service, diplomatic, temporary resident,
transit and humanitarian. However, e-visa issuance has not yet commenced and
will continue to be suspended until further notice released by the government
of Russia.
It is mandatory for travellers
to hold valid medical documents in English or Russian language, stating their
negative test reports for coronavirus, obtained at least 72 hours before the
departure of flights. Any traveller failing to present his/her negative COVID
report will be separated in flight from other passengers and will have to
mandatorily remain quarantined for 14 days at his/her own expense, after
arrival. This exception is permitted only under urgent circumstances, after
having obtained permission from the Embassy of Russia or Consulate General of
Russia. Medical documents presented in any other language will only be accepted
if they are attached with a Notarized Translated document in Russian language,
stating their authenticity and rationality.
